Installing and applying the Lightroom presets only takes a few seconds. Follow the steps below.
Importing Presets & Basic Corrections
1. Download The Preset Pack
Download the ZIP file from the Downloads section and extract it to your computer.
2. Import Your Presets
Open an image in Lightroom Desktop and go to:
Presets → ⋯ → Import Presets
Select the included preset files and import them into Lightroom.
3. Apply A Preset
Open the Presets panel and select your preferred look from the collection. If needed, use the Amount slider to control the overall strength of the preset.
4. Make Basic Corrections
Every image is captured under different lighting conditions. For the best result, adjust:
• Exposure
• White Balance
• Temperature and Tint
• Highlights
• Shadows
• Contrast
Start with Exposure and White Balance, then fine-tune the remaining settings only when needed.
The preset creates the look — basic corrections match it to your image.
Recommended Workflow
1 — Import your image
2 — Apply your preferred preset
3 — Correct exposure and white balance
4 — Fine-tune the preset strength
5 — Add custom masks if needed
Masks allow you to edit specific parts of your image without affecting the entire photo.
Masking Guide
1. Open The Masking Panel
Open the Masking panel inside Lightroom and choose the type of mask you want to create.
2. Select Your Subject
Go to:
Masking → Select Subject
Lightroom will automatically detect and select the main subject in your image.
3. Refine The Selection
Use Add or Subtract if parts of the subject were missed or the background was included accidentally. Use the red overlay to check the selected area.
4. Enhance Your Subject
Depending on the image, adjust:
• Exposure
• Shadows
• Whites
• Texture
• Clarity
• Sharpness
Keep the adjustments subtle and make sure the subject still looks natural.
5. Add Additional Masks
Use Linear or Radial Gradients to control light, darken distracting areas or guide attention toward the subject.
Every image is different, so there are no universal mask settings.
The presets create the overall color grade — custom masks add the final depth and focus.
Recommended Masking Workflow
1 — Apply the preset
2 — Complete the basic corrections
3 — Create a subject mask
4 — Add gradients when needed
5 — Review and fine-tune the final image
Important:
Custom masks are not included inside the preset files because every subject and image requires an individual selection. The video shows you how to recreate the masking workflow used in the example edits.
